Kandi today soared to 15.5% as of 12:20pm. This is because of an article released announcing their goal of expanding to Beijing and Shanghai. This is great news for the followers of Kandi. We have know this was the plan so it is not all new news, but it is good to hear. I believe this will settle back down to somewhere in the 14’s later this week but it has established higher highs and higher lows. Good news for Kandi longs. I had a PT of $15 on this stock and I believe the next leg up will take out $16. Great company!
As we head to the end of February many investors are speculating when Marsh will choose to update investors through a CC or through some other method. PLUG has a new big deal but has yet to officially announce who it is. Most believe that it is another deal with Walmart because in their recent reports they mentioned PLUG. Also, investors expect an update on how the Asian trip is going for Marsh. Anew Asian deal would be huge for PLUG, and would drive the PPS up quite a bit. I still have a short term PT of $5.00 but my long term for the EOY I think will range from $15-$20.
BMW has big orders from PLUG for their hydrogen fuel cells to run their fork lifts. This is a great and informative video explaing the advantages of using PLUG.
This photo is of PLUG’s CEO and a meeting of his in Asia. I found it on PLUG’s Facebook page. As we all know, Marsh has been roaming Asia look for new deals for PLUG. A new deal with a great company could be huge for PLUG and their PPS. I am very excited to hear any news from his adventures because there is so much potential for PLUG in the short term and long term. My short term PT for PLUG is $5.00
The Acquisition of SunWorks by Solar3d was huge, and here is the interview with Jim Nelson confirming the acquisition in after hours on January 31st.
Today SLTD cam through with an update in their prototype after having being down 17% yesterday. This update today was very helpful and we closed 15% in the green. I have pasted below the report than came out today with the update of the testing phase.
Solar3D Third Generation Prototype Enters Testing Phase
The Company Begins Optimizing the Elements of Its Breakthrough Solar Cell Technology to Maximize Power Output
SANTA BARBARA, CA–(Marketwired – Feb 12, 2014) – Solar3D, Inc. (OTCQB: SLTD), the developer of a breakthrough 3-dimensional solar cell technology to maximize the conversion of sunlight into electricity, today commented on the detailed optimization of the elements of the third prototype of its next generation technology.
“It is very exciting to enter the final phase of the fabrication of third generation prototype of our powerful new solar cell,” said Jim Nelson, CEO of Solar3D. “This effort has taken more time than our previous two prototypes because we are combining all the research and experimentation that we have utilized so far to create the best possible version of our technology. This final testing phase will assure that each element of the cell will be optimized to produce the maximum power.”
The company’s technology team anticipates that its third generation prototype will be less expensive to manufacture and result in more powerful performance than the previous versions. The initial 2012 prototype design was calculated to produce just over 25% efficiency, the highest of any silicon solar cell. Even more important was an originally unanticipated feature — wide-angle light collection — allowing for the generation of electricity throughout more times of the days and seasons. This feature increases the length of time during which light can be effectively converted into electricity, relative to current technology. Current technology is most effective for a few hours in the middle of the day.
Changwan Son, Director of Technology, commented, “It is a complex process to get all of the elements to work together perfectly. But once we have refined the process, we believe that the Solar3D Cell can be produced using high-speed manufacturing processes in existing facilities that will replicate the harmony of the elements. By combining low cost manufacturing and high conversion efficiency, we hope to make solar power affordable for a variety of applications.”
Nelson concluded, “This is the ultimate mission of Solar3D: to provide affordable solar power to the world. We are getting closer to having a Solar3D Cell that will allow us to accomplish our mission. It is exciting to see that light at the end of our tunnel.”
There will always be up and down days in the market, but sometimes the down days hurt just a little bit just like the up days feel pretty good. To be a trader or an investor you can not lose your head and sell just because you are down some money. If you let your emotions take hold of the way you invest you will find yourself buying high and selling low much more than you will be comfortable with. I may have lost a little bit today, but I plan to keep a long term view and not sell until I reach my PT. I think SLTD will rebound and hit .16 soon than later. The update on the sun panel prototype in due soon, and I expect KNDI to rebound as well and hit $15 soon.
